We expect our junior attorneys to meet the same standards that our clients demand from us: excellent qualifications, ideally substantiated by a degree with honors, time spent abroad, a doctorate, or a degree from a foreign university (e.g., LL.M. or M.C.J.). You should have an excellent command of at least one foreign language.
the training you require to become a legal personality in your own right. You will first learn the ins and outs of the legal profession from one of our partners. Occasionally, you may also be put in charge of a case from another field of expertise so that you learn to think “outside the box.” Soon, however, we will expect you to assume responsibility. We are not looking for clerks who are kept out of sight from clients, but for colleagues with equal rights who are potentially future partners. Do you have an idea for an area in which our law firm could develop further? Do you want to acquire a client who may not prove rewarding until a later point in the future? We are more than willing to listen to your proposal.
Flexible working hours, home office, and after-work activities as a group are a matter of course for us. You have your own office on our brightly lit and spacious premises, which are located centrally on Leipziger Platz in Berlin. Our working atmosphere is characterized by respect, trust, and openness.
The partners are your colleagues, to whom you can go to ask for advice or to express your opinion. We involve our associates in many important decisions. You will take part in our weekly strategy meetings right from the start. We want you to become an experienced attorney, certainly, but we also want you to acquire an entrepreneurial mindset.
Our goal is for young professionals to become partners within a manageable period of time of between five and seven years. After two years, we will give you our initial assessment of whether we can imagine offering you a position as a partner in the firm. Whether and when you become a partner depends on your performance and character, not on whether a “position” is available.
We make it possible for you to participate regularly in advanced training programs, and if it is expedient for you to acquire specialist attorney qualifications in your field of expertise, we will cover the costs of the course.
